Staging Your Denver Home to Sell

The first thing you need to remember is as soon as you decide to sell, your home is no longer your home. This could be one of the toughest concepts you've ever had to deal with, especially if you have lived there for many years. Unfortunately, the blood, sweat and tears you put into your home during that time means nothing to a stranger with an entirely different idea of what their new house should look like. Step back and think about what qualities in a home you would be searching for if you were buying a new house. Then, use those ideas to stage your home to look like it belongs to someone else who appreciates the positive aspects that convinced you to buy it in the first place.

The potential buyer's first impression occurs even before they enter your house. Start by getting rid of any clutter or vegetation that interferes with the clean lines and spaces in the outside yard, patio or deck. They should appear to be maintenance free. Keep the barbeque and the table and chairs on the back deck to make it look inviting for afternoon and evening social gatherings. Make sure any potted plants or landscaped areas are weed free and trimmed to look clean and well-kept. The less interference with the view, the bigger your yard and outdoor areas will look to a buyer who sees the home from the street.

When it comes to the inside of any home, most people consider it an extension of their lifestyle and personality. The inside dcor defines you, the owner. Your aura is everywhere - on the walls, in the furniture and decor, even in the smell as you enter the front hall. The key to staging is to eliminate anything which defines your identity and leave the items in the room that anyone would feel comfortable living with as the new owners. Then, arrange those items to invite them in. Group small pieces of furniture together. This will create more open space in the room. Make sure you include a centerpiece on your kitchen table, a few plants in the corners or on end tables, a vase of flowers or a bowl of fruit. In the bathrooms, put out a basket of hand towels and comfort items. These small decorative touches portray the living areas of the house as restful, homey and move-in ready.

Staging a home for a successful sale is much more than just adding a coat of paint, shampooing the carpets and making sure everything is working properly. If it is done thoughtfully, staging will create a feeling for your potential buyers that says, "I could live here." The rest will follow.

Gold, Mountains and Cowboys in Golden, Colorado

The City of Golden is a historic community that lies within Jefferson County in Colorado. It is located along Clear Creek in the foothills of the Front Range of the Rockies. The city sits in a sheltered valley between Lookout Mountain and the North and South Table Mountains. The famous showman Buffalo Bill Cody is buried on Lookout Mountain.

The settlement that is now the City of Golden was first founded during the gold rush that brought many people into the Denver area during the 19th century. The original camp that was set up on the site was named Golden City because of the precious metal that the miners hoped to find there.

The city became an important economic center in the region, and there are still some thriving industries in the city today, particularly brewing and porcelain. During the latter half of the 20th century, the city went through a period of rapid growth and redevelopment. The city still retains much of its historic character, however.

The Colorado School of Mines is located within the City of Golden. It offers a range of programs in science and engineering. The American Mountaineering Center is another important center of research and education located in Golden. The city is also home to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the National Earthquake Information Center. CoorsTek and the Coors Brewing Company are two other important employers within the community. Visitors can take a tour of the brewery. The city has a thriving economy, with a wide range of businesses basing themselves within Golden.

Golden is also the home of the Jolly Rancher. The candy was invented here, and later bought by Hershey Foods.

Outdoor activities, particularly mountaineering, skiing and rock climbing are very popular in the area. The Colorado Mountain Club and Outward Bound are all based at the American Mountaineering Center. Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Clear Creek White Park are the best places for outdoor activities in the area. They have facilities for horseback riding, hiking, and kayaking.

Attractions within Golden include the Colorado Railroad Museum, the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, the Astor House Hotel Museum, the Golden History Center, the Mother Cabrini Shrine, the Clear Creek History Park and the Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum. The School of Mines also has its own Geology Museum. Golden has one of the largest concentrations of museums in Colorado, ensuring that there are many interesting days out to be had within the city.

A number of annual events and celebrations are held in Golden. The Heart and Soul Month, which is in February is one of the most popular, along with the two fireworks displays held on Independence Day and the Olde Golden Christmas celebration in November and December. August's Golden Fine Arts Festival and September's Goldenfest also draw large crowds, but the biggest celebration occurs in late July at the Buffalo Bill Day event.

The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra is based in Golden City, and it regularly performs in the area. Its seasonal performances at the Bunker Auditorium in the Colorado School of Mines are particularly popular with the local residents, and they have been since they began in 1953. The city also has two live theaters, the Miners Alley Playhouse and the Heritage Square Music Hall. The exhibition space at the Foothills Art Center is set within a historic church. Many interesting exhibitions appear in the center.

Other local attractions include the Victorian West style Heritage Square, with its shops and restaurants, and the Amphitheater where concerts are played in Red Rocks Park.

Golden is an interesting city in which to live. It is a wonderful place to raise a family, but it is also a popular location for young people who are working, researching or studying in the city. There are three elementary schools in Golden, the Ralston, Shelton and Mitchell schools, as well as the Bell Middle School and Golden High School.

Lakewood: A Center Of Culture In The Denver Region

Lakewood is one of the largest incorporated cities in the Colorado region, in terms of population. It lies just to the west of Denver, within Jefferson County. The Lakewood area first began to be developed in 1889. The population grew steadily as the settlement expanded, but it was not until 1969 that Lakewood was incorporated as a city.

Residents of Lakewood benefit from access to a wide range of different recreational facilities, including four recreation centers, two golf courses, a selection of community swimming pools, a community center and a wide variety of art galleries. There are also almost one hundred parks in the city, which offer a range of sporting facilities as well as plenty of space in which to relax. Many trails wander through the open space that surrounds the city, providing additional opportunities for running, hiking and cycling. Many of the residents living in Lakewood enjoy a very active lifestyle and make full use of all these recreational amenities.

The city of Lakewood has a wide range of different amenities, including many cultural venues as well as sporting and recreational ones. The area is very with professionals and older people, although the city is also very family friendly and has a healthy population of families with young children. Lakewood has a number of good schools, including the Lakewood High School, which is considered one of the best in the country. It is also the only school to offer the International Baccalaureate in Jefferson County.

One of the largest employers in Lakewood is the government, with many of the local people working at the Denver Federal Center. This center houses the largest concentration of federal agencies in the US, outside of Washington DC.

The most commercial area of Lakewood lies along West Colfax Avenue. The city did not develop a downtown area as it grew, but there are a number of shopping centers including the Colorado Mills mall. The area known as Belmar has become a modern downtown style area, with a range of different restaurants, stores and residential properties. This is now one of the busiest and most interesting parts of the city.

The Laboratory of Art and Ideas at Belmar is an exciting contemporary art venue that has been right at the center of the development of the Belmar area. The Laboratory is now associated with Denver's Museum of Contemporary Art and plays less of a role in the cultural life of Belmar. Together, these two institutions offer educational and cultural programs. They also host numerous interesting exhibitions.

Belmar and the city of Lakewood as a whole has a very culturally active community. The Lakewood Cultural Center features an auditorium, a gallery and a community room as well as a number of classrooms. It provides a diverse range of events and activities for the local people and often features work by local artists and schools.

The Lakewood Heritage Center near Kountze Lake is an interesting museum that provides an insight into local history. There are a number of historic buildings associated with the museum.

Denver: The Mile High Mountain City

Denver, which bears the nickname of the Mile High City due to its elevation, is the state capital for Colorado. Denver is a city and a county. The city of Denver is located on the South Platte River Valley to the east of the Rocky Mountains. Denver has excellent transportation links to the rest of the region. Much of the city's economy is based on its location, with many goods being transported through the city to the smaller towns and cities that surround it.

The city of Denver was found in 1858 after gold was found in the region. The site of the earliest settlement, which was originally called Montana City, can still be seen in the Grant Frontier Park, where visitors can tour a replica of a 19th century log cabin and see some historic mining equipment. It was in the same year, 1858 that the name Denver was first applied to the area, in honor of Kansas Governor James Denver. To begin with, Denver was the settlement on one side of the South Platte River, while the settlement on the other side was known as Auraria. The two settlements eventually merged together as Denver.

The modern city of Denver is composed of a wide variety of different neighborhoods, which range from areas dominated by skyscrapers to those full of historic single family homes and others that are newly developed suburbs. Most of the older neighborhoods are within the center of the city, with the newer suburbs around the edges. Denver is also surrounded by numerous cities and suburbs that are home to many of the commuters who work in the city of Denver.

In addition to the downtown area, there are numerous other commercial areas dispersed throughout the city. Two of the most popular areas for shopping, dining out and entertainment are Cherry Creek and Highland. These are also two of the most sought after residential neighborhoods, particularly due to their recent redevelopment. Other desirable neighborhoods within the city are Park Hill and Five Points.

Denver has an excellent selection of parks and recreational amenities. City Park is one of the largest areas of open space in Denver, although there are more than 200 different parks, each with its own selection of sporting and recreational facilities. Washington Park and Cheesman Park are two of the most popular. Outside the city itself, there are also various mountain park that offer additional space for outdoor activities in a wilder and more natural environment. Red Rocks Park, with its natural rock amphitheater is a favorite with many of the local residents who enjoy attending the regular open air concerts that are held there. Outdoor activities are very popular with residents of the Denver region, due to the proximity of the mountains and the wide selection of parks that exist in the surrounding area. Many people enjoy white water rafting, hiking, sailing, horseback riding and other activities. In addition to its parks, many of the neighborhoods in Denver have recreation centers that offer additional sports facilities and community events.

The city of Denver has a wide range of different attractions, including the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Numerous celebrations and events are held in Denver each year, including Cinco de Mayo celebrations, the annual Dragon Boat Festival and the National Western Stock Show.

Parker, Colorado: From Post Office to Population Boom

The town of Parker is one of the most populace in the Denver area. Parker is a commuter town for people working in Denver, but it also has its own thriving community. It is an attractive town that offers its residents a rich range of amenities and recreational opportunities.

The history of the town of Parker begins with the foundation of the Pine Grove Post Office in 1862, although the area was regularly used by various groups of Native Americans including the Cheyenne and Arapaho for hunting before this time. The old trail alongside Cherry Creek that had been used by these hunters in the Parker area was then used by the first traders and frontiersmen who came to explore the region. The original post office at Pine Grove was later moved to a new site in the middle of what is now the town of Parker. It offered lodging, meals and provisions for sale, and became known as 20 Mile House, because of its distance from Denver. Twenty Mile House continued to develop, with the addition of a ballroom, a blacksmiths shop and a general store and official post office. A town quickly grew up around the store.

In 1981, an area including the subdivision of Rowley Downs, Parker Plaza, Parker Square and the downtown area was incorporated as the town of Parker. After this, the town continued to grow rapidly. The population was less than 300 in 1981, but it has now reached over 48,000.

Parker today is a vibrant community that continues to grow and now has the largest population of any town in the county. There is a selection of different housing types within Parker, including entry-level homes as well as luxurious executive homes. Parker has some interesting mixed use neighborhoods that ensure residents have easy access to all amenities and services. The downtown area of Parker is one of the town's most interesting features, due to its unique Western Victorian architecture.

There is a wealth of green and open space within the town, including some beautiful parks. Parker also has its own golf courses, which provide some additional green space in the local scenery as well as some excellent recreational opportunities.

Numerous community events and recreational activities are held in Parker, and there are a wide range of amenities in the town. The H2O'Brien outdoor swimming pool features water slides, a lap pool, a circulation pool and a spray garden. Other recreational amenities in the town includes the Parker Fieldhouse sports center, which has a wide range of facilities including a climbing wall, batting cages and a gym. There are also some cultural venues, including the Art, Cultural and Events Center, which has classrooms, a dance studio and a theater.

Parker lies within Douglas County, which has one of the best school systems in the Denver Area. The town is very family friendly, although it is also very popular with young professionals. Parker has an excellent transportation service. It is also easy to travel into Denver from Morrison. Many of the people who reside within Parker commute to work in the city of Denver.

Morrison: A Mountain Town Within Reach Of Denver

Morrison has the atmosphere of a small, friendly town. There are a range of different types of residential property, including many beautiful single family homes with spectacular mountain views. The Morrison community is predominantly made up of young professional couples, many of whom are attracted to the town by its proximity to Denver.

The town of Morrison is located within Jefferson County within commuting distance of downtown Denver. It is separated from the rest of the metropolitan area by the Hogback rock formation. While this does not impede travel into the city of Denver, it does ensure that residents of Morrison can enjoy spectacular views and a rural atmosphere. Living in Morrison does not feel like living in a suburb of Denver. Instead, it is almost like living in a town high in the mountains, but with the added advantage of having all of the amenities of the city only thirty minutes away.

The Morrison Natural History Museum is one of the most interesting local attractions. It holds some of the fossilized dinosaur remains that have been found in the local area. Morrison was at the center of the so-called Bone Wars during the 19th century, when rival paleontologists were racing to find the best fossil specimens. The section of late Jurassic sedimentary rock is now known as the Morrison Formation because of the number of fossils that were found around the town. Some of the most important fossils that are on display in the museum are the first fossilized tracks of a baby Stegosaurus ever to have been found. More dinosaur tracks can be seen out at one of the 19th century dig sites at Dinosaur Ridge.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a natural rock structure in Red Rocks Park, hosts numerous outdoor concerts in what must be one of the most interesting venues in America. The amphitheater is surrounded by intriguing rock formations that provide the perfect acoustic environment. The rest of Red Rocks Park is also very beautiful and it provides excellent recreational activities for the local residents. There are also a selection of trails that run through the Jefferson County Open Space Parks that surround the town, where it is possible to hike, run, cycle or go horseback riding. The Bear Creek Trail is one of the most popular routes around Morrison. It runs from Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood right through the most historic areas of Morrison, alongside the creek. The Heritage Center at Two Creeks Plaza lies along the trail. From both the Plaza and the trail, it is possible to see the amazing TNT restaurant mural, which shows the history of Morrison from the prehistoric days of the dinosaurs to the present day. You can also see the bell, made in 1879, which once hung in a belfry at the Morrison School. The trail ends at Morrison Park, although it will soon be extended towards Red Rocks Park and the Mount Falcon Open Space.

The downtown area of Morrison and Bear Creek Avenue are the main commercial areas in Morrison. The town has an excellent range of shops and restaurants.

Heritage Hills: A Small Community within the City of Lone Tree

Heritage Hills is a gated community that is annexed to the city of Lone Tree. The neighborhood consists of luxurious custom homes, built in a variety of beautiful styles. Properties within this community range from rustic Colorado style buildings to Tuscan style homes, and from Old World to West Coast architecture, with a selection of contemporary houses as well as more traditional ones.

Heritage Hills has excellent transport links to Denver, the international airport and the Inverness and Meridian business parks. The Denver Technological Center is also within easy reach. Many of the residents of Heritage Hills commute to one of these centers of business and employment.

The neighborhood is popular with families, although it is also well suited to young couples and single people. Heritage Hills is served by the school district of Douglas County, which is one of the best in Colorado. Lone Tree elementary school is adjacent to the Heritage Hills community, but there are many different educational options and programs from which parents can choose. Children living in Heritage Hills usually attend elementary school at Lone Tree, Eagle Ridge or Acres Green, before moving on to middle school at Cresthill and high school at Highlands Ranch. A number of private schools are also available nearby.

Heritage Hills is an attractive neighborhood that has plenty of open space, including a number of parks. There are also some excellent sports facilities, including a basketball court, two swimming pools, tennis courts and soccer fields. The area also has its own children's playgrounds, which are perfect for families with young children.

The Heritage Hills homeowner's association is very active. It aims to ensure that the local community is as friendly as possible. The association organizes a wide range of different events throughout the year, including pool parties, poker nights and wine tastings, as well as Easter egg hunts and block parties. In addition to these events, the residents of Heritage Hills frequently host their own parties and events, at which neighbors can get to know one another and become part of a community.

An extensive system of trails runs through the area surrounding the Heritage Hills community, providing opportunities for walking, running and cycling. The Lone Tree recreation center offers a selection of facilities that can be used by residents of Heritage Hills, including a gym, racquetball courts, track and swimming pool. The nearby Lone Tree Golf Club is also popular with residents of the Heritage Hills neighborhood, although there are also three other golf clubs nearby, the Inverness Golf Course, Meridian Golf Club and The Ridge, which is in Castle Pines North.

The commercial area just outside the walls of Heritage Hills includes an excellent range of shops and restaurants, including a large grocery store. The Park Meadows shopping center is also within walking distance.

The wider community of Lone Tree City to which Heritage Hills is attached offers an additional range of amenities, which includes parks, sports facilities and shopping. Residents of Heritage Hills have much to enjoy within their own neighborhood, but there is also plenty to do in the neighboring city, and Denver is also within easy reach.

Centennial, Colorado: A Vibrant and Varied Community

Centennial is one of the most varied cities in the region around Denver, as well as being one of the newest. The borders of the area that is now known as Centennial are very irregular, and there was a long debate over the incorporation of the city. Centennial is a blend of suburban neighborhoods and semi-rural tranquility, with a thriving local economy and a wealth of amenities.

The city of Centennial was formed in 2001 from a number of unincorporated areas of Arapahoe County, including Southglenn and Castlewood. The decision to incorporate and to name the new city Centennial was made through an election held for the local residents. The city was named after the nickname often used for Colorado, the Centennial State, so-called because it became a member of the union in 1876. At the time of incorporation, the area that became Centennial had a population of over 100,000, making it the largest incorporation in the history of the US.

Many of the homes within the city of Centennial have Littleton, Englewood or Aurora mailing addresses, and some people in the surrounding region still call the neighborhoods by their old names rather than referring to the whole area as Centennial.

The city is split almost straight through the center by Interstate 25. Most of the entertainment and business centers are to the west of this highway, while the area to the east is predominantly residential. The city contains many different residential neighborhoods, each with their own individual characters. The commercial parts of the city offer a huge variety of entertainment and shopping opportunities.

The geography of the area is very interesting, with numerous ravines, gullies and hills. Residents of Centennial can explore the beautiful scenery that surrounds them by following the recreational trails that pass through it.
Littleton, Colorado: Heart of Arapahoe County

The municipality of Littleton is a suburb of Denver that straddles Douglas, Arapahoe and Jefferson counties. Littleton is Arapahoe County's county seat.

Littleton is located in one of the most beautiful areas in the Denver region, the foothills to the west of the city. The town has a selection of different parks and other open spaces, which provide excellent opportunities for recreation.

There are also a wealth of opportunities to eat out, shop or be entertained in Littleton. There are a selection of malls and shopping areas that are within easy reach for all of the residents of Littleton, including the Streets in South Glen, Park Meadows mall, Aspen Grove and South Glen mall.

Many community activities are held in the Bemis Public Library, which also provides an excellent range of books and IT facilities. The Littleton Museum is one of the most interesting attractions in the area, with an excellent collection of artifacts relating to local history, regular exhibitions, a lake and two historic farms that show how people lived in the areas in the 1860s and 1890s.

The Littleton area was first settled during the Pikes Peak gold rush in 1859. The search for gold bought many people to the region, and they were followed by an influx of farmers and merchants. Part of the land that is now Littleton was purchased by an engineer called Richard Sullivan Little, who specialized in developing irrigation systems for the western climate. Little originally came to the area in order to work, but he was so charmed by the area that he decided to make it his permanent home. In 1862, his wife came out west to join him.

In 1867, Little, along with a number of other residents, built the Rough and Ready mill that produced flour and provided an important economic foundation for the community. The local population had grown to well over 200 by 1890, when the residents decided that they wished to become a town through incorporation. This was the birth of Littleton.

Littleton today is a thriving community that offers a wide range of amenities and housing options. Littleton has the atmosphere of a small town, but it is within easy reach of the Denver city center, and so it offers its residents the best of both worlds. Many people who live in Littleton commute to work in Denver, or enjoy visiting the city for a night out.

Littleton has excellent transport links with Denver and it is a popular neighborhood for commuters who work in the city. The community is made up of a wide range of people, including many young professionals and growing families.

The town is served by the Littleton Public School system, which is the first district in Colorado to incorporate a program for children and babies under the age of two into the school system.

The incorporated town of Littleton is surrounded by a number of smaller unincorporated communities that all have Littleton addresses. These are Acres Green, Highlands Ranch, Heritage Hills, Carriage Club, Ken Caryl, Columbine and Roxborough Park. Each of these neighborhoods provides additional amenities that are within easy reach of Littleton.
