Space and Recreation in the Weatherstone Neighborhood of Highlands Ranch

Weatherstone is a beautiful neighborhood in the Highlands Ranch area. It is a highly desirable neighborhood that is served by a wide range of local amenities and, which is within easy reach of the city of Denver.

Weatherstone has a wide range of different homes in various different sizes and styles. Many of the properties in this neighborhood have spacious yards, and there is also a lot of open space in the area, including parks and trails. A lot of the properties in Weatherstone back onto these open spaces and a number of the properties in the neighborhood have spectacular views of the mountains. These views should not be affected by the nearby development known as The Back Country.

The Weatherstone neighborhood has its own park. Pronghorn Park is a beautiful open space that offers a place for residents to take some exercise, or simply to relax in the fresh air. Facilities in the park include a children's playground and a picnic shelter with a barbeque grill.

The Highlands Ranch trails system runs through the Weatherstone neighborhood, providing many routes for biking, hiking and running. There are four recreation centers in Highlands Ranch, all of which can be used by residents of Weatherstone. The Westridge center is the closest to the Weatherstone neighborhood, but the Southridge center is also nearby, and the Eastridge and Northridge centers can be reached fairly easily.

The neighborhood of Weatherstone is part of the larger community of Highlands Ranch, which offer a wide range of recreational facilities and has a very active community. The Highlands Ranch Community Association is responsible for many of the local amenities and it also organizes numerous activities and social events for the local people. Weatherstone also has its own secondary Home Owners Association, which provides residents of this neighborhood with additional facilities, including their own private community pool. Other facilities that are available specifically for residents of the Weatherstone neighborhood include a picnic shelter, near to the community pool. This shelter can be hired for private use for a special event. The Weatherstone community is very friendly and many social activities and events are organized within the neighborhood.

The nearest shops for residents of Weatherstone are at Highlands Ranch Parkway and Wildcat Reserve Parkway. There are also some good restaurants at these locations. A larger range of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues are available in the town center of Highlands Ranch and at the Southridge Shopping Center. The Aspen Grove Lifestyle Center and the Park Meadows Mall are also nearby, offering a huge range of different shops and restaurants.

The children of Weatherstone live within the Douglas County School District. They usually attend Stone Mountain Elementary School, Ranch View Middle School and Thunder Ridge High School. Weatherstone is an excellent place in which to raise a family due to the huge amount of open space and the abundance of recreational facilities in the Highlands Ranch area.

Many of the people who live in Weatherstone commute to work in other parts of the Denver region. There are excellent transport links to the rest of the region from Weatherstone, including the Lockheed plant, Meridian and the downtown area of Denver.
