Carriage Club: A Family Community in the City of Lone Tree

Carriage Club is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the city of Lone Tree. The good local schools, large homes and wide selection of recreational facilities make Carriage Club a popular location for families.

The Carriage Club neighborhood consists of over 400 homes. Most of these are two story custom homes, although there are also a number of single storey ranch style properties. Spacious single family properties are the norm in Carriage Club. Many of the houses in this neighborhood also have walk out basements. Most homes in Carriage Club have excellent views of the city and the Rocky Mountains, because the entire neighborhood sits up on a hillside overlooking the surrounding area.

Carriage Club is a family oriented neighborhood. The community is made up largely of families and commuters. Carriage Club lies within the school district of Douglas County. Children from the neighborhood usually attend elementary school at Acres Green, before moving on to the Cresthill and Highlands Ranch middle and high schools.

Many of the residents of Carriage Club use the excellent local transport system to commute into Denver. The same system also makes it very easy for the residents to visit the city center and other nearby areas such as Highlands Ranch, where there are a wide range of different shopping, dining and entertainment options, as well as parks, sports facilities and other amenities.

The Carriage Club area and the wider Lone Tree city have plenty of their own amenities to offer too. Carriage Club has its own Homeowners Association, which runs a number of social activities during the course of the year.

There is a wealth of open space within the Carriage Club neighborhood, including a system of bike paths that are very popular with the local people. A number of parks and trails offer plenty of opportunities for residents of Carriage Club to enjoy their beautiful surroundings. There is a park within Carriage Club itself, but residents of a more active nature can also venture into the nearby Bluffs County Park for a hike through some of the Denver area's most beautiful scenery.

The wider Lone Tree area also has a range of different amenities on offer for residents of Carriage Club. The City of Lone Tree has an excellent recreation center that is a full service club for residents of the area. Facilities at the center include a gym, an aquatics area with leisure and lap pools, and a running track. There is also a craft room, a babysitting room and a general purpose room that can be used for meetings. The Lone Tree Golf Club lies alongside the Carriage Club area.

In addition to the sporting facilities in the area, there are plenty of opportunities for Carriage Club residents to enjoy entertainment of a more cultural area. Numerous events are held in Lone Tree throughout the year, and once the new Arts Center has been completed in 2011, the opportunities to enjoy music, theater and other artistic events will increase significantly. The center will include a large theater and a gallery space among other facilities. Lone Tree also has a popular neighborhood library.

Lone Tree has many excellent shopping and entertainment areas that are within easy reach of the Carriage Club neighborhood. The Park Meadows mall, for example, is a popular shopping center with a wide range of different types of stores.
