The Denver Zoo, located in City Park was founded way back in 1896 with the acquisition of one single American Black Bear cub and has grown to become a world class zoo that attractions a great many visitors year in and year out. The zoo places an emphasis on conservation and education, and has a number of events and displays that are both permanent and temporary and are designed to spread this message to its guests. The city of Denver has a lot going for it in terms of things to do and activities to take part in. When it comes to concert venues, many acts play at the Pepsi Center and Invesco Field, but no concert location in the Denver area, and few any where in the world can match the beauty and acoustics of the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Concerts were first held at Red Rocks in the early 1900s and were so successful that the city of Denver eventually purchased the site from a private owner with then intent of developing it into a permanent concert facility.
